30 Day Song Challenge - Day 25

A song that makes you laugh.

Comedy songs are for the best part pretty awful. For as long as I've been listening to music there have always been comedy songs, songs which aim to make the listener laugh and more often than not fail miserably.

Casting my ears back, I can think of the following to help you all reminisce;

http://youtu.be/JAIOzM7SsMo - words fail me

http://youtu.be/FCARADb9asE - I think they actually thought this was good!

The biggest arena for "funny"songs is Christmas. Two of my favourites are;

http://youtu.be/W-eslNwGXrI - roll on http://www.downloadfestival.co.uk/2011/ - haven't seen them live since 2004!

http://youtu.be/od7GUy9XS7c - it was for charity so even more enjoyable.

Monty Python for me are the kings of comedy for songs, way too many to showcase but lumberjacks, brave Sir Robins and crucifixion songs are all firm favourites.

Choosing a song for this category is once again a difficult one to choose.

First choice http://youtu.be/XP9pnSXhibw - the man is a genius

Second choice, seen these guys 3 times now, from a very small tent at Download to the second stage last year in the pouring rain (much needed comedy) and again at Ozzfest. Ok so the jokes are starting to get thinner but the songs are still epic and have captured all the hair metal nuances.

They have two songs I really find funny "Community Property" is one and the crowd always sing all the  words for them. The one I'm going to choose is their obvious testament to Bon Jovi (great synth opening).

Warning Parental Guidance (contains swearing & sexual references!) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w_r7ZxigS0g
